BTTS Tips For Saturday 12th March – Get On This Goals Galore Treble!

Time for another Both Teams to Score treble this weekend and I’ve found 3 fixtures that fit the bill and will hopefully boost those balances of yours.

Rotherham v Derby

Neil Warnock’s Rotherham side seem to have turned a corner at the moment in The Championship. 3 wins on the bounce has moved The Millers within just a point of safety. That form is even more impressive when you consider that their last 2 wins came against promotion chasing Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday.

This weekend Warnock’s side welcome Derby to the New York Stadium and though the hosts have kept clean sheets in their last 2 games, I can’t see them repeating it this weekend. They’ve conceded 3 goals in each of their last 2 meetings with The Rams and though Rotherham have had some impressive results here this season, I think the visitors can find the net.

Derby come into this game after a 2-0 loss to QPR in the week and though they have a 5 point advantage over 7th placed Cardiff, they need to continue to push if they are to secure a playoff spot. Derby have scored in 14 of their 18 away league games this season and with goals in 4 of their last 5 visits to Rotherham though and I see no reason why those numbers can’t increase this weekend.

Eastleigh v Chester

I’m heading down into the National League for my next pick as two sides who have been pretty decent for goals this season face off at the Silverlake Stadium.

Eastleigh notched a decent 2-1 over Woking in the week and with those 3 points in the bag they could yet make a late push to regain a spot in the playoffs after a bit of a rocky spell. The hosts have scored in each of their last 8 games, but have also conceded in 6 of those 8 games and they face a Chester side this weekend who will be brimming with confidence.

There’s no doubt that the performance of the week was Chester on Tuesday evening as they thrashed Aldershot 8-2 on home soil, leaving them 15th in the league. They look likely to survive after that win but very unlikely to make a push for the playoffs but confidence has to be high in the Chester camp after their last result. They’ve failed to score just once in their last 5 games and having beaten Eastleigh earlier this season, I’m confident they can grab a goal away from home here.

The last meeting between the two sides here at The Silverlake Stadium finished 3-2 to the hosts, and I’d be more than happy with a similar scoreline on Saturday.

Ayr United v Dunfermline

North of the border now for the final selection as league leaders and likely Champions Dunfermline travel to Ayr United. It’s 3rd vs 1st in Scottish League One and I think we could be in for a treat on the goals front here.

Arguably the most impressive stat from the Ayr camp is that they have scored in every single home game this season in the league which isn’t bad going. They’ve been a great bet for BTTS coupons this season though and their last 6 consecutive home games have all resulted in both teams finding the net.

With the visitors being the league leaders and goalscoring machines Dunfermline, I don’t think we’ll see Ayr keeping a clean sheet this weekend. They’ve been beaten only 3 times in 28 games this season and have failed to score on only 4 occasions.

The two have already met on 4 occasions this season in league and cup and the last two of those have resulted in both teams scoring, including a 3-2 win for Dunfermline only a month ago. I expect goals at both ends here without doubt.
