Live PDC Darts: Premier League Darts Week 6 Preview & Betting Tips

Thursday 9th March. 7PM. Sky Sports 1

The Premier League roadshow is into the second half of phase one, and all 10 PDC superstars will be desperate for points as they look to avoid relegation and edge themselves closer to the finals night at London’s O2 Arena.

With Michael van Gerwen likely to return following a week’s absence, Glasgow will be buzzing for five huge encounters at the oche. Meanwhile, we could be set to see a nightly average of over 100 for the first time in 2017.

Let’s just hope we can land some profit too!

Wright To Follow UK Open Win With Homecoming Victory

After lifting his first ever TV title at last weekend’s UK Open, joint leader Peter Wright returns to Scotland sitting joint top with an impressive seven points from five matches. As the world number three prepares to take on James Wade in Glasgow, he knows that a win would put him right on track to go all the way to finals night in London.

Snakebite won’t be in for an easy night against the man currently sitting fourth in the table. Having said that, a recent head-to-head record of nine wins in 10 meetings, including two victories in last year’s Premier League, should give the home favourite a huge boost of momentum.

The Glaswegian crowd will be backing the world number three all the way too, which could also make a huge difference. Nonetheless, Wade has been in good form also, showing his class against the likes of Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson already.

It should be a thrilling battle, and could go a long way to deciding their respective fates. Expect undiluted drama from the start.

Anderson Set To Please Scottish Crowd

Wright isn’t the only Scottish star looking for a big night in Glasgow as Gary Anderson takes on Dave Chisnall in the game’s final encounter. While the Flying Scotsman has only lost one of five matches, three draws mean he currently sits sixth in the Premier League table. Chizzy, meanwhile, is up to fifth after back-to-back wins last week – although he has played one more than everyone else.

The night’s action begins in equally thrilling fashion as joint leader Taylor takes on Adrian Lewis. While the Power is in a great position, he’ll need to maintain momentum as he aims for a big final Premier League season. For Jackpot, however, it’s getting to the point where he needs wins due to the fact he has just three points.

Lewis is still outside of the bottom two, though, thanks to the fact Jelle Klaasen and Kim Huybrechts drew last week in Exeter. For Klaasen, it’s an all-Dutch encounter against Raymond van Barneveld. For Huybrechts, the returning MVG awaits.

Can the Belgian take advantage of MVG’s back injury or will the champion be back to his best? Whatever happens, it should be another great match in what promises to be a great evening of PDC action.

Premier League Darts Week 6 Betting

With a winning double paying out at over 2/1, last week’s bets saw us increase our profits for the campaign. Given that the doubles have been kind to us over the last five week’s, we’ll be looking to land two more on Thursday.

For our first double, we’re backing both Scottish players to record important victories. Wright to beat Wade and Anderson to beat Chizzy.

For our other double, we’re starting with Huybrechts +3.5 legs. The Belgian’s averages have been pretty good so, if he finishes well, he could be in with a shout of an upset against the returning MVG – who may well take a few legs to get back into things.

Double that with Barney to get the most maximums in the Dutch battle between Barney and Klaasen.
