New Years Day Football Banker Accumulator – Red Hot Spurs To Rout The Royals

Accumulator BankerSo it’s New Years Day, and what better way to start off the year than with a winning football accumulator. There are plenty of games to choose from and confidence is high after yet another winning Goals Galore bet on Saturday.

Here are my strongest picks for a New Year’s match odds accumulator:

Tottenham v Reading 3.00pm
Odds – 4/11 Betfred

Spurs couldn’t have wished for a better Christmas as far as results are concerned, and they can continue their fine form bt beating a lacklustre Reading side at White Hart Lane.

AVB’s men pulled off a good win against Sunderland at the weekend despite going a goal down at the Stadium Of Light, and with Gareth Bale firing on all cylinders it’s hard to see how Reading will leave North London with anything other than a loss.

The Royals have picked up just 2 points in on their travels this season, and are on a terrible run of 5 back to back defeats, without a goal scored in 360 minutes of football when away from home. Spurs should take this comfortably.

Crystal Palace v Wolves 3.00pm
Odds – 10/11 Betfred

Palace have drawn too many games recently for their liking, ending all square in 4 of their last 5 games. However Wolves visit Selhurst Park on New Years Day, and recent results have been worrying for Stale Solbakken’s men.

A poor 0-3 home loss to Peterborough on Boxing Day was followed up in quick succession by another home loss, this time 0-2 against Ipswich. Their form has dipped markedly, and with just 3 goals scored in their last 5 games all told, I think Crystal Palace will get back to winning ways here.

The Eagles haven’t lost a home game since their first game of the season back in August against Watford; winning 7 and drawing 4 since that time.

Swindon v Portsmouth 3.00pm
Odds 4/9 – Betfred

Swindon have got away lightly this Christmas. While all teams around them are feeling the strain of such a hectic schedule, Swindon have had their last 2 games postponed due to the bad weather, guaranteeing that the Paolo Di Canio’s squad are fit and raring to go.

Portsmouth on the other hand have picked up just 2 points in the month of December, have lost both of their Christmas games, and have earned just 3 points in total from their last 12 games; form which has seen them drop into 21st position and a relegation berth.

Swindon sit 18 points above their opponents in 6th position, and have 2 games in hand on most teams above them in the league, making this an important game to win. It’s all well and good having games in the bank, but they need to be converted into points, and I’m sure Paolo Di Canio will have his team well up for this.

The above treble of Spurs, Crystal Palace, and Swindon pays £37.40 to a £10 stake at Betfred
