Hearts v Celtic 28th November: Hoops face Jambos as pressure mounts for Lennon

CelticKick Off: Wednesday 28th November

It’s a cruel mistress, this football managing lark. A hero one week, a nobody just days later.

Celtic boss Neil lennon and his backroom staff masterminded a phenomenal win over Barcelona earlier this month. It was up there with all of the finest nights that Celtic fans are ever likely to witness and enjoy. It was certainly a far cry from the boos that rang out at Celtic Park this weekend after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

A solid Scottish Premier League side but the only silverware they’ve won of late is longest club name in Britain, the defeat led to an alleged bust-up between the manger and some fans, as tempers flared on Saturday afternoon.

A trip to Edinburgh is next up for the green half of Glasgow, and the European pretenders are odds-on at 4/6 with Ladbrokes to return with all 3 points.

Hearts have lost just once in their last 7 though, and only went down 1-0 in the reverse fixture in Glasgow.

They’re 9/2 to heap more pressure on Celtic who should be more than a point clear at the top considering the demise of their rivals Rangers.

Even a draw wont help the cause much for the Scottish champions, it’s 5/2 the teams share the points.

Hearts have had some success against Celtic in the past but I fear for them here against Celtic who are very much a wounded animal, and the home side may just suffer the backlash.

Celtic triumphed 4-0 here last season and will be looking for more of the same to silence the doubters.
