Goals Galore Treble Saturday 30th March – Spurs And Swans Will Go Hammer And Tongs

goals galoreWith Saturday giving us a host of fixtures throughout England, we return from the international break and normal service is resumed. Here’s my best bets for Goals Galore this Saturday:

Swansea vs Tottenham

Although Swansea’s last 2 home games have seen one side keep a clean sheet, don’t be fooled into thinking they’re no good for a goals galore bet. 10 of their 15 home games this season have seen both teams find the back of the net which is the joint 3rd highest in the Premier League behind Everton and Reading. They’ve failed to score only 3 times at the Liberty Stadium this season and have also kept only 3 clean sheets in the process.

Spurs travel to Swansea today with a record that’s probably unwanted by AVB. 11 of their 15 away games have resulted in both teams finding the net as they seem incapable of keeping a clean sheet on the road this season. Despite managing only 3 clean sheets in their 15 away games, they do have something to shout about having failed to score just once on their travels.

In the 3 meetings in recent history between the two sides, both teams have scored in 2 of those matches. I see no reason why that won’t be 3 from 4 come Saturday evening.

Peterborough vs Cardiff

The runaway leaders of The Championship take a trip to relegation threatened Peterborough on Saturday and though 21 places separate the two sides in the league, I’m confident that both teams can find the back of the net.

Peterborough are undefeated in their last 5 games and are easily in with a shot of escaping relegation by putting a run together. In their 19 home league games this season they’ve failed to score on only 4 occasions but in the process have kept just 2 clean sheets. 14 of their 19 home games have resulted in both teams finding the net, the highest of any team in The Championship.

Cardiff are not normally a selection for my Goals Galore coupon given that they’ve kept 7 clean sheets on their travels this season, but don’t let that put you off. They’ve failed to score only twice away from home and in their last 3 games on the road they’ve conceded on two occasions, one of which was against lowly Wolves who are in a similar league position to Peterborough and also have the exact same record when it comes to Goals Galore.

One area where this bet excels though is on the head-to-heads. The last 4 meetings between the two sides have all resulted in both teams finding the net and there have been a total of 17 goals in the process. The last 3 meetings between the two at London Road have finished 4-3, 2-1 and 4-4 so expect another goal fest today.

Wolves vs Middlesbrough

Along with Peterborough, Wolves also boast one of the best records in the league when it comes to Goals Galore. 14 of their 19 home league games have seen both teams find the back of the net and that looks to be 15 today as they welcome a Middlesbrough side who just cannot win a game recently.

Wolves have failed to score in only 3 of their home league games this season but the reason for their demise has been their shocking defence. They’ve kept just 2 clean sheets at Molineux this campaign and could well be threatened with relegation into the 3rd tier of English football if they don’t buck their ideas up soon. This Saturday however could be an opportunity for them to pick up a few points given that Middlesboro’s promotion campaign is slipping further and further away after a run of seriously poor form.

Boro come into this match having won just 1 of their last 5 league games but thankfully we’re not betting on the win, we just need them to score. Their goals have dried up recently which may put you off the bet, but although they have only scored 2 goals in their last 5 away games, they haven’t yet met Wolves! They’ve kept only 3 clean sheets on the road this season so are likely to leak a goal at some stage but with Wolves’ poor record of keeping a clean sheet, I expect Boro to return to goalscoring form this weekend.
