Bank Holiday Monday 27th Aug Football Bets – Non League Opportunities Are Plentiful

Accumulator BankerSo it’s bank holiday Monday and there are no top flight games to cast my eye upon. This may well work out in my favour though, as I’ve had the chance to look at some of the many non league fixtures taking place this afternoon.

I must say that there seems to be some great odds flying around at this low level of football, but after doing all my research there is on particular game I want to get involved in today.

Here is my best bet for bank holiday Monday:

Altrincham v CHESTER – 3.00pm

Chester blitzed through the Northern League Premier division last term; collecting 100 points and scoring 102 goals on their way to promotion back to the Conference North, and I’m very encouraged by their start this season.

Three games into the season, Chester have maximum points and have conceded just one goal. Defence seems to be their forte, two clean sheets already, and more than you can shake a stick at last season at the lower level.

It’s obvious that Chester are going to be a force to be reckoned with this season, and I’m confident they can take the points at Altrincham, who appear unable to defend for toffee.

Currently sitting in 15th position after two losses and a win so far, Altrincham are a team that often get amongst the goals but appear completely unable to keep a clean sheet. In fact the last time they had a lock out was back in September 2011, some 32 games ago.

Chester are available at 11/8 with BetVictor to take the spoils, which looks like a price full of value, but for a bit more insurance I also like the look of Chester DNB(draw no bet) which is a very attractive 3/4 with the same firm.

I did look at the both teams to score option but with the odds available around 4/11 there is absolutely no value to be had there.
