Football Accumulator Tips Sat 22nd March – Royals Will Take it To Brum

Football Accumulator Betting Tips – 22nd March

Another Saturday of football means another accumulator and this weeks selections offer a tasty 10/1 return.

We’ve picked three teams who will be looking to continue their respective pushes for promotion against struggling opponents and hope, for this week at least, that they all succeed.

Bring it on!

Birmingham City V Reading

In the Championship, Reading aim to get their push for promotion back on track with a vital three points at a struggling Birmingham City.

The Royals have fallen out of the play-offs thanks to their stalemate with Derby last week, combined with the fact Wigan faced Yeovil in midweek, but Nigel Adkins will remain relatively happy with the club’s current form and will be confident of returning to the top six before the season is out.

Reading have lost just three times in 2014 and if they can turn a few of those draws into wins then there place in the play-offs will be assured.

Conversely, Birmingham are stuck in a rut and will be thankful that games are running out fast. Had the season gone on much longer, you’d be concerned for their Championship status – as it is, they’ll probably be fine.

Nevertheless, a streak of 13 league games at St Andrews without victory is a massive worry for Lee Clark’s side. The Blues last claimed three home points against Millwall on October 1st; they have since scored three goals twice and still failed to win, which highlights their obvious defensive frailties.

Birmingham have conceded seven in their last two matches. If they make the same defensive errors against Reading, the likes of Le Fondre and Pogrebnyak will welcome them with open arms.

Walsall V Leyton Orient

Defeat to Brentford handed the advantage to the Bees in the race for automatic promotion but Leyton Orient won’t have thrown the towel in just yet and can rekindle their hopes of Championship football with a return to winning ways at Walsall.

The Saddlers also had hopes of promotion, albeit via the play-offs, until just a few weeks ago. However, a terrible run of form has seen them fade away from top six contention and they look consigned to another year in League One next season.

In fact, that poor form sees them 23rd in the division’s form charts as Dean Smith’s men continue to search for their first win since January 25th. That’s a sequence of nine matches without victory and high-flying Orient will be looking to extend that run to double figures at the Bescott on Saturday.

Orient have lost just once in their last dozen matches on the road and claimed a 2-0 victory at Port Vale in their last away clash. Another three points is a must for their hopes of automatic promotion, they’re certainly capable of getting them.

Leyton Orient to win @ 7/4

Kidderminster Harriers V Southport

Skrill Prem strugglers Southport should just about avoid relegation but they won’t be relishing the trip to Aggborough on Saturday.

The Sandgrounders have won just once on the road all season, to bottom side Hyde, and that was way back in August. It has been disappointment followed by disappointment ever since and the 2-2 draw at fellow strugglers Chester was only their seventh away point this campaign.

Their record of 14 losses on the road equals Hyde’s as the worst record in the division and Kidderminster will be immensely confident against a side who concedes twice a game away from home.

The Harriers currently occupy the final play-off spot so will be desperate for three points, particularly in a game in which they are expected to win with ease. They’ve won their last three at Aggborough and should be able to make that four on the spin against Southport.

Kidderminster Harriers to win @ 8/13
