Football Accumulator Betting Tips Saturday 17th January – Back Our Football League Treble

Our Saturday accumulator is a Football League treble this weekend and we’re backing three in-form home sides to continue their respective marches towards promotion with vital wins.

These three clubs have all enjoyed fantastic home form this season and this should give us a fantastic chance of picking up nearly £40 profit from a simple £10 stake at BetVictor.

Good luck!

Middlesbrough V Huddersfield Town

Aitor Karanka’s men may have slipped to fourth in the Championship table thanks to a recent dip in form but Middlesbrough should get their bid for automatic promotion back on track with a comfortable win over Huddersfield at home.

Boro have won just once in their last four league matches, which has largely been down to a decreased number of goals. However, firepower should not be a problem against a Terriers side that has shipped 43 times this season – including 28 from just 12 games on the road.

In the defensive third, Boro have no problems at all. They’ve kept clean sheets in each of their past four competitive outings and boast the division’s most economical home defence.

Huddersfield will be in good spirits following back-to-back home wins over Bolton and Watford. However, they tend to struggle on the road and could be in for a tough afternoon at the Riverside.

Swindon Town V Chesterfield

League One side Swindon enter this weekend’s action atop of the pile and Mark Cooper will be looking to star strikers Andrew Williams and Matt Smith to keep the Robins there by inspiring the hosts to another three points.

The dynamic attacking duo boast 27 league goals between them and Williams netted twice in Monday’s 3-0 away win over Coventry. That firepower has also helped the league leaders to seven wins and three draws from their 12 matches at the County Ground and they should be confident against the Spireites.

Chesterfield are one of the division’s surprise packages and are still in contention for a play-off spot. However, Paul Cook’s men aren’t the best travellers in League One, registering just three away victories so far, and could also be hurt following a 3-0 home loss to Swindon in October’s reverse fixture.

Striker Owen Doyle will naturally pose a threat but if the hosts can keep him quiet then it should be a relatively routine win for the Robins.

Shrewsbury Town V Hartlepool United

The Football League’s bottom club finally claimed a first win in ages by beating Cheltenham last week. Unfortunately, that cheer is set to be short lived as they head to high-flying Shrewsbury on Saturday.

It’s turning into a nightmare season for Hartlepool, who are already seven points adrift of safety, and relegation to the non-league looks inevitable for Ronnie Moore. It could get a whole lot worse as they take on the division’s best home side at New Meadow.

Shrewsbury did drop two points against Wycombe in their last home encounter but Micky Mellon’s men have now gone five games without conceding a single goal in front of their own fans. In fact, they’ve conceded just three at home all season en route to picking up 32 from a possible 36 points.

In short, Shrewsbury are simply phenomenal at home and should face little trouble against the Football League’s worst team. Not the best price, but it should be a comfortable winner.
