Football Accumulator Betting Tips 6th September – Bristol City To Continue Fine Start

There are no Premier League or Championship matches this weekend due to the international fixtures but that doesn’t mean we can’t look to win big with a Saturday treble.

The distinct lack of fixtures may theoretically make things harder but in reality we’ve just as much chance of picking out three winners here.

These are our selections for Saturday which will be taking advantage of a £5 free bet which we get every week in the SkyBet Free Bet Club. Good luck!

Bristol City V Scunthorpe United

Steve Cotterill’s Bristol City remain unbeaten after five matches of the new League One season and the Robins should extend that strong start as they welcome Scunthorpe United to Ashton Gate.

The hosts have been very strong in all departments and will be particularly happy with their defensive record. They are yet to concede more than once in a single league game so far and also kept a clean sheet in the last home match against Leyton Orient.

In the attacking third, veteran striker Aaron Wilbraham has already netted four times and is already emerging as an early contender for the division’s golden boot. Conversely, the visitors have registered just four goals between the entire club and are currently occupying one of the relegation places.

It was always going to be a difficult season after last season’s promotion but Russell Wilcox will be bitterly disappointed with his side’s level of performance so far. A recent revival has seen them pick up back-to-back home wins, including Tuesday’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy victory at Glanford Park, but they could be in for a very long afternoon at Ashton Gate.

Bristol City are the superior outfit in this one and that should be shown by the result.

Southend United V Oxford United

It has been a disappointing couple of weeks for Phil Brown’s Shrimpers but the promotion hopefuls can bounce back from their poor form with three points against struggling Oxford.

Southend started the season superbly, picking up two wins on the spin, but have since failed to win any of their most recent three League Two encounters whilst they also dropped out of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy against Wimbledon on Tuesday. On a brighter note, though, the Shrimpers did score twice in the midweek defeat at Kingsmeadow and if they match that feat against Oxford then it should signal a return to winning ways.

Since losing former boss Chris Wilder to League Tow rivals Northampton last season the visitors have been extremely poor and that form has continued to plague them during the early stages of this campaign. In fact, last week’s 3-3 home draw with Dagenham was their first point of 2014/15.

Oxford aren’t losing by huge margins but the fact remains that they’ve been defeated in all but one of their League Two outings this season. Expect their misery to be compounded at Roots Hall.

Woking V Lincoln City

Woking have been the surprise package of the Conference this season and the Cardinals will be looking to carry on their fine start with their weekend clash with Lincoln City.

The hosts currently sit fourth in the Conference standings and remain unbeaten after half a dozen matches with three wins and three draws. A return of 13 goals and just five conceded signals a very positive start for Garry Hill’s side.

Striker Scott Rendell has enjoyed a particularly productive start to the campaign, hitting seven goals in six appearances to cement his place at the top of the division’s scoring charts. The 27-year-old hit four in his last home game and could inspire the Cards to another triumph here.

The Imps have been quite frequent scorers themselves but have largely been let down by a defence that has already shipped 10 league goals. Gary Simpson’s men will remain confident, though, and can give their opponents a really difficult challenge.

However, Woking are flying high right now and look especially comfortable at Kingfield. We’re backing them to pass this test with flying colours.
