Double Chance Picks Tuesday 21st Feb – Napoli a Confident Choice

I’m yet to convince with my double chance selections, mainly due to some stinking luck in injury time. Two bets have gone down to injury time penalties, but I need to clear my mind of them and get on with the job in hand! This Tuesday there are a few options, but I’ve chosen to stick to a double. The first pick comes from one of tonight’s Champions League games.

Napoli v Chelsea 1 or X

Chelsea are in a very bad way at present, and I can’t see it getting any better in Naples. I have actually backed Napoli in a single bet for the win, as mentioned in my Napoli v Chelsea betting preview.

Napoli are certainly no mugs at home, and have already shown Manchester City and Bayern Munich what they are made of (2-0 and 1-1 respectively).

Chelsea are having major problems adjusting to life under Andre Villas-Boas, culminating with a run of four games without a win in an already poor season.

The Blues looked clueless in the first half against Birmingham in Saturday’s FA Cup tie, and Napoli could punish their defensive frailties here.

Napoli’s 3-0 win over Fiorentina last Friday was the perfect warm up to this game, and they can certainly avoid defeat here.

Crewe v Accrington 1 or X

Just one point separates Crewe(12th 42pts) and Accrington(10th 43pts) in the league, but it’s the home side that should be backed with the draw covered here.

Accrington have really gone off the boil since the turn of the new year; winning just 1 of their last 5 matches.

More worrying have been the margins they have been losing by. A 0-3 home loss to Barnet(18th) and their most recent 0-4 loss to Plymouth(21st) have been the most disturbing.

Combining current form with their away record of just 3 wins so far this season, Accrington don’t have much going for them in this fixture.

Crewe on the other hand have plenty to like about them. They’ve won their last 3 home games on the spin, scoring 10 goals in the process.

The Railwaymen don’t have the tightest defence, but Accrington are hardly bursting the net at the moment; failing to score in their last 2 away games.

Crewe appeal for the outright win here, but I’m very happy having the draw on my side also.

Recommendation
Napoli or draw 4/11
Crewe or draw 4/9
The double pays a shade under Evens at Sky Bet which is the best price available online. More than one other bookie go as low as 8/11 on this bet.
