Wimbledon Tennis 2015 Day 12 Review

Men’s semi-final day is always a fascinating moment in any Wimbledon tournament, and it certainly didn’t disappoint at this year’s event. Fans on Centre Court may have only seen the minimum six sets, but nobody could argue with the standard of tennis on display.

World number one, Novak Djokovic didn’t start at his best against France’s Richard Gasquet but the Serb took the first set en route to another routine win. Once he’d found his feet, the defending champ was utterly dominant. It seems like he’s hit form at just the right time.

However, he knows he’ll have a fight on his hands in Sunday’s final. Seven-time champion Roger Federer put in an absolute masterclass to defeat Britain’s Andy Murray in straight sets. The Fed Express was in full motion as the Swiss served brilliantly throughout. It has been three years since he last won this Grand Slam, can he finally notch title number eight?

After a fortnight of incredible action, it’s seeds No.1 and No.2 in the final. It should be an absolute classic.

Wimbledon 2015: Ladies’ Final – Serena Williams V Garbine Muguruza Preview

Centre Court will be rocking for today’s final as two starlets are bidding for their own piece of history. While Muguruza is hoping to clinch her first ever Grand Slam title, Williams is looking to complete a haul of winning all four in a row. One way or another, headline will be made.

It’s been an exciting run to the final for both players. Serena has absolutely dominated most opponents, beating sister Venus as well as Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova with minimal fuss along the way.

Meanwhile, the Spanish underdog has won plenty of plaudits while beating the likes of Agnieszka Radwanska, Caroline Wozniacki and Angelique Kerber. The No.20 seed has done sensationally well and will be hoping to tie up the head-to-head record at two wins apiece in what is easily the biggest moment in her career.

These two starlets have been the best players at this year’s event, expect a thrilling finale at SW19.

Straight sets looks likely, and we think at least one of those will be a quick finish. We’re backing Serena to cover the handicap.
