Which Football Matches Should You Back To Have Over 2.5 Goals On Sunday May 15th?

The action is coming to an end, but there’s still time to bash the bookies, and we’ll be looking to do that on Sunday by focusing on the Over 2.5 match goals coupon.

We’ve got a mixed bag from across the afternoon, with selections coming from the Premier League, League Two and Conference. We won’t be fussed which teams find the target. As long as there’s at least three goals in each of those matches, we’ll be picking up a tasty £47 profit from a £10 treble.

Good luck!

Arsenal v Aston Villa. 3PM

It’s the final day of Premier League action, and both Arsenal and Aston Villa will be glad to see the back of a disappointing campaign. However, it’s the visitors that have suffered more, and could be set for another nightmare afternoon as they head to the Emirates.

Villa have been awful all season, conceding 37 on the road. It could be a case of damage limitation for the already relegated visitors, but it’s hard to see them keeping Arsenal quiet. After all, Arsene Wenger’s men will be determined to finish the campaign ahead of bitter rivals Tottenham.

Even with Danny Welbeck missing through injury, the Gunners have plenty of attacking options. A return of 27 home goals hasn’t been great, but this is a clash where they’ll be expecting to increase that tally to end the season on a high.

If they perform anywhere near their potential, Arsenal will score at least three. If not, there’s always the chance of a Villa goal too.

Forest Green Rovers v Grimsby Town. 4PM

It’s all to play for at Wembley as a place in the Football League is on offer to the winner of Forest Green Rovers and Grimsby Town. The two Conference rivals have been in exceptional form this season, and we’re hopeful that this play-off final will provide a fittingly dramatic showdown.

Both of this season’s fixtures were relatively low scoring, but the previous head-to-head encounters have often brought plenty of drama and that should be on the cards as they meet in the capital. Both teams are capable of scoring goals, and an early goal could kick this one into life.

That’s what we hope will happen. After all, these sides scored a combined total of 151 goals in the regular season. Forest Green Rovers might be considered slight favourites, but keeping out Padraig Amound won’t be easy.

A 2-1 either way wouldn’t surprise us one bit.

Plymouth Argyle v Portsmouth. 3PM

It’s all level in the League Two play-off semi-final between Plymouth and Portsmouth, and this second leg at Home Park should be an absolute classic. Whatever happens, it’s set to be a game of thrills and spills. But we’re optimistic that it will also be a game of goals, just like the dramatic 2-2 draw at Fratton Park on Thursday.

Plymouth scored an impressive 72 goals in the regular League Two campaign whilst Portsmouth hit a beefy 75. Moreover, the two head-to-head league meetings ended in 2-1 victories for the respective away sides.

Naturally, the importance of this fixture could play a role. However, an early goal could kick this one into overdrive. With the firepower of Gareth Evans, Graham Carey and Jake Jervis on the pitch, there’s every chance that both teams will find the target.

At the increased odds for avoiding a potential 1-1, it’s well worth including in our over 2.5 match goals treble.
