Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal Live – How To Watch, Bet & Win On Huge North London Derby

Saturday 5th March. 12:45PM. BT Sport 1

This weekend’s Premier League drama begins with the biggest north London derby in a decade, and we’ll be tucking into the lunchtime entertainment with huge interest and high hopes of winning some money too.

Despite losing to Swansea and West Ham respectively on Wednesday night, both clubs are still very much in the title race. However, three points are essential for both clubs. For once, there’s far more than bragging rights on offer; this one could potential dictate which direction the Premier League trophy is heading.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Saturday’s mouth-watering showdown.

Tottenham Aiming For The Top

Wednesday’s loss at West Ham aside, it has been a fantastic for Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs and the hosts can underline that by hitting top spot, at least on a temporary basis, with three points against their arch rivals.

In spite of a perceived lack of attacking options, Tottenham are the division’s second-highest scorers. Star man Harry Kane boasts 16 goals alone whilst Dele Alli and co have chipped in with more than enough goals to give Arsenal problems here.

Meanwhile, this hosts boast the Premier League’s most economical defence too with just 22 goals conceded. Given Arsenal’s recent lack of goals, this could be a major source of inspiration as Spurs look to seal what could become their most important derby win of the 21st century.

The hosts will certainly be motivated as they look to cause another twist in the most unpredictable Premier League season ever. If they perform to their potential, they’ll have a great opportunity to do just that.

Can Gunners Fire Themselves Back Into The Race?

Arsene Wenger must have thought his team were back in pole position following the last-gasp win over Leicester on Valentine’s Day. Since then, though, Arsenal have fallen out of love with form, losing back-to-back league games as well as suffering cup disappointments.

The only positive for the Gunners is that the teams around them have dropped points too. They are still very much in this title race, and there’s no question over their ability. The real issue is whether they’ve got the character to go and win a title.

Arsenal have missed Santi Cazorla, especially in these tough games, and Aaron Ramsey will need to step things up at White Hart Lane. Nevertheless, the creativity of Mesut Ozil and co can pick the Tottenham lock. The travelling supporters will just hope that their strikers can finally find their shooting boots.

With so much riding on the game, it should be an enticing battle from start to finish. We wouldn’t want to miss it for the world.

Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal Betting

Anything could happen in this north London derby, which is reflected perfectly by the odds. However, with home advantage on their side, Tottenham are the slight favourites at 11/8 with Bet365. Meanwhile, the Gunners are 15/8 and the draw is 12/5.

The pair have met four times over the past two seasons, with each encounter ending in a BTTS winner. That’s the sort of trend that we love to see from a gambling perspective, and think it will continue here.

Both teams will be desperate to start strongly after Wednesday’s respective defeats. If one team scores, it should kick the game into life, and we would expect the other to join them on the scoresheet.

Given Arsenal’s poor form, we have to fancy Spurs to grab the win. Unlike the visitors, Tottenham’s loss at West Ham was an isolated performance, and they can bounce back in style. If they do, former Gunner Kane has to be the main candidate to fire them to derby delight.

This is the type of game where the match-winner is likely to be named Man of the Match due to the sheet importance of the contest. We’re backing Kane to take that honour.

BTTS Yes @ 7/10 with Bet365
Harry Kane to be named Man of the Match @ 17/2 with Paddy Power
