Both Teams To Score Tips Saturday 7th February – Back More Goals At Glanford Park

It’s a new month and we’re aiming to start it in style with this Saturday BTTS treble, which pays out at odds of just under 6/1 at Betfred

We’re backing six teams from the Football League to all find the target at some stage and are positive that they’ll help us bash the bookie here.

Come on!

Wolverhampton Wanderers V Reading

Our first selection comes from Molineux as we’re backing Championship rivals Wolves and Reading to produce a cracking end-to-end contest.

These sides shared an incredible 3-3 draw at the Madejski earlier this season and the deadline day signing of Yakubu will certainly boost Reading’s probability of scoring. However, the Royals have conceded 29 in just 14 away games this season so may need more than one goal to gain all three points in this one.

Wolves are just two points off the play-offs and will be hoping to increase their tally of seven home wins against the lowly Royals. Kenny Jackett’s men have netted 17 times at Molineuz already, but have also shipped 13 so may need to rely on their attacking stars to grab the crucial victory.

The neutrals would love to see a repeat of that six-goal thriller at the Madejski; even if this clash doesn’t match that billing, we’d still fancy goals at either end.

Scunthorpe United V Oldham Athletic

Mark Robins’ Scunthorpe have emerged as a real favourite on the BTTS coupon in recent weeks and we’re predicting another exciting encounter as they welcome Oldham to Glanford Park.

Nine of the home side’s last 10 league encounters have ended with both teams on the scoresheet and their goal record now stands at 37 for and 41 against after 25 League One matches. Meanwhile, the Latics boast 38 goals but have also shipped 39 after 27 fixtures.

Lee Johnson’s side failed to score during Tuesday night’s trip to Barnsley but will take inspiration from their 3-2 home win over the Iron back in September. If that five-goal thriller is any barometer, we could be in for another screamer here.

Attack is the best form of defence for both of these sides and that should lead to an entertaining Saturday showdown.

Shrewsbury Town V Southend United

The New Meadow hasn’t exactly been a hotbed for away team goals this season, but Phil Brown’s Southend can certainly hope to take advantage of Shrewsbury’s knocked confidence.

League leading Shrewsbury have leaked just five goals in 14 home games, dropping just four points in the process. However, they did ship two against Stevenage in their previous match here and that should give the visitors huge confidence – particularly as the Shrimpers have found the net in seven consecutive away outings.

Nevertheless, that incredible Shrewsbury home record cannot be overlooked and Micky Mellon’s men will be favoured to grab the win. The Shrews score over two goals per game at the New Meadow and it would be a huge surprise if they fail to find the target here.

Both teams enter the match in great form. Back both teams to score.
