Both Teams To Score Tips Saturday 31st January – Goals To Keep Flowing At Oakwell

Saturday’s action serves up a feast of mouth-watering fixtures and we’re hoping to end the month in style with this 4/1 BTTS treble.

We’ve pinpointed three matches that we think will be packed with goals and are hopeful of bashing the bookies for the second time in three weeks.

Game On!

Liverpool V West Ham United

Brendan Rodgers was left bitterly disappointed as Chelsea dumped his side out of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday but the Reds must refocus if they are going to save their season, starting with the home clash with an in-form West Ham.

Despite Tuesday’s cup exit, Liverpool have improved in recent weeks and are enjoying their best league spell of the campaign. However, they will need to be extremely cautious against a dangerous Hammers team that beat them 3-1 earlier in the season at Upton Park.

Sam Allardyce has worked wonders this term and his team holds just as much hope of qualifying for Europe as their illustrious weekend opponents. In fact, only Chelsea have stopped them scoring on the road this term and there is no reason to think the Hammers will be scared here.

Ex-Reds flops Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing will be particularly eager to fire West Ham to success, but Liverpool should also be scoring at home.

Barnsley V Port Vale

Our second selection comes from League One and we’re picking one of our favourite teams on the BTTS coupon by backing Barnsley to be involved in another thriller.

The Tykes have netted 23 but conceded 21 from their 12 games at Oakwell this season, making them the perfect side for these bets. Meanwhile, Vale boast 13 from 13 on the road – shipping 20 in the process.

Vale won the reverse meeting by edging an entertaining three-goal affair to make it three consecutive head-to-head BTTS winners. Both teams boast attacking players capable of causing problems and we think there will be ample opportunities at either end of the pitch here.

This is a crucial game for both clubs and each will be equally desperate to get the win. With Barnsley boasting home advantage, we have to think both teams will score.

Accrington Stanley V Northampton Town

Goals have been a common theme for League Two rivals Accrington and Northampton this season. Saturday’s showdown at the Store First should provide plenty of entertainment.

Between them, the sides boast 75 goals from 53 matches. Likewise, their combined goals against tally stands at 81, whilst the reverse clash at Sixfields also ended in an incredible 5-4 win for the visitors. Those should be the ingredients for another gripping affair this weekend.

Some punters may be put off by Accrington’s lack of form in recent weeks but John Coleman’s men will view this as a winnable fixture and will hope to pinpoint Northampton’s poor defence as an area for real punishment.

The Cobblers do enter this clash on the back of three straight wins, though, and will be in particularly buoyant mood. With only two points separating the sides before kick-off, we could be in for a classic.
