Both Teams To Score Tips Saturday 24th January – Back Our Football League Treble

All eyes will be on the FA Cup fixtures this weekend, but we’re concerning ourselves with the Football League offering for our BTTS treble which we’ll place at Betfred.

We’ve selected three matches in which we think both teams will score and are hopeful of netting a cool £50 profit with this £10 bet.

Good luck!

Norwich City V Brentford

The Championship fixture list is limited to just a handful of matches thanks to the FA Cup fixtures but there should still be plenty of action as Norwich City host Brentford at Carrow Road.

New Canaries boss Alex Neil has enjoyed a positive start since making the switch from Hamilton Academicals and will be eager to see his side register another win as they bid to climb into the play-off zone. However, the Bees are currently flying-high in fifth and could be ready to sting their opponents here.

Between them, these two rivals have scored a combined total of 91 goals from 52 matches. Additionally, they’ve also conceded 67 times so there is every reason to be confident about this selection.

Norwich claimed a 3-1 victory at Griffin Park in September. We’re backing both teams to score once more.

MK Dons V Barnsley

Karl Robinson’s Dons are flying high in League One and will be fully expected to secure another three points at home to Barnsley. However, the Tykes can at least give the hosts a run for their money.

The visitors have avoided defeat in half of their away games, hitting11 goals from those 12 matches. While that may not be the greatest tally for strikes on the road, Danny Wilson’s men can at least seek confidence from the fact MK Dons have conceded in three of their five most recent home games, including three to Walsall just under a month ago.

However, losing two of their last three home games will serve as a huge inspiration for a home side that is scoring over 2.5 goals per game at the Stadium:MK. Despite losing Benik Afobe this month, they still possess a number of talented stars including Dele Alli and Will Grigg so shouldn’t be short of goals.

The visitors can use the loss of Afobe to their advantage, though, and look to pile the pressure on MK Dons. Unfortunately, though, we can’t see them keeping the Dons at bay.

Portsmouth V Southend United

Our final selection comes from Fratton Park as Phil Brown’s Southend United look to keep their promotion bid alive by taking advantage of an out-of-form Pompey.

While the goals have dried up at Roots Hall, they keep flowing on the road with five of their last six away games ending with both teams on the scoreboard. Meanwhile, the number of changes this month also adds extra belief to our BTTS selection as new stars bid to tie down a regular position but are yet to gel with their teammates.

Portsmouth are really struggling in the lower echelons of League Two and are now on a run of seven matches without a win. However, they have at least scored in nine of their past 10 games at Fratton Park and we’d be surprised if they don’t find the net again here.

Both teams are in need of points, for very different reasons. With Pompey at home, we’re backing each of them to score.
