Both Teams to Score Tips Saturday 20th September – Expect Goals At Craven Cottage

With the season now six weeks old, teams are starting to find their feet. More importantly, we are starting to see which teams are prolific in front of goal and this should enable us to take advantage with the BTTS coupon.

This week’s selections come from the top three divisions and we’re backing these six teams to all find the target. At odds of 9/2 (best odds available at William Hill), it’s got to be worth a punt.

Aston Villa V Arsenal

Paul Lambert’s Aston Villa have started the new campaign in exceptional fashion and the hosts will be looking to continue that fine form against Arsenal.

Meanwhile, it’s been a stuttering start for the Gunners, who have now won just one of their last six in all competitions, so it is essential for Arsene Wenger’s side to bounce back form the midweek defeat to Dortmund in style.

Although Arsenal were completely outplayed in Germany, they can take heart from a respectable 2-2 draw with Manchester City last week and will be hopeful of a big response here. The Gunners boast some of the division’s most creative players and, with Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck ready to convert those chances, there is no reason that they can’t trouble the Villains defence.

However, Villa have picked up 10 points from a possible 12 and will enter this clash with ultimate confidence. This is the perfect time to face Arsenal and Lambert’s men will be hopeful that they can keep this superb run going.

Both of last year’s head-to-head meetings were thrilling spectacles and saw both teams find the net. We’re expecting that trend to continue here.

Fulham V Blackburn Rovers

Championship side Blackburn have been a favourite for BTTS punters this season and they could be involved in another entertaining clash as they head to Craven Cottage.

The Rovers have hit 13 but conceded 14 after seven league matches and each of those encounters have ended with goals at either end. A 3-2 midweek loss to Derby is indicative of how Gary Bowyer’s men have performed thus far and we’d expect no different against Fulham.

Felix Magath’s Lilywhites have struggled to acclimatise to Championship football and are currently rooted to the foot of the table. However, they did finally get some goals flowing against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday. Although those three strikes were ultimately rendered pointless it will at least give their attackers a lift.

If the Cottagers can score three against league leading Forest then they’ve got every chance of breaking through the leaky Rovers defence. Nevertheless, Fulham’s is the worst defensive record of any team in the division and a clean sheet for them looks just as unlikely as one for the visitors.

Back both teams to score.

Rochdale V Coventry City

Just two points separate League One rivals Rochdale and Coventry ahead of Saturday’s showdown at Spotland and it should be a close battle for a crucial three points.

Both sides are in pretty good form right now and not many punters would like to back a winner. However, the one thing was can anticipate is goals.

Between them, these sides have hit 25 goals this term and conceded 18 in the process. Those are some encouraging stats and the fact both of these were BTTS regulars in 2013/14 doesn’t do any harm either.

Coventry are still on a high at returning home to the Ricoh whilst Rochdale’s Matt Done is on fire with five goals already so each side will be in high spirits and that should lead to an exciting and passionate contest.

Let’s hope for goals at both ends.
