Both Teams To Score Tips Saturday 18th October – Shrewsbury To Be Amongst The Goals Once More

The international break is over and, with a full set of fixtures to enjoy, we’re hoping to bash the bookies on Saturday with this 11/2 BTTS treble at BetVictor.

Teams will be desperate to secure vital points as the games begin to come thick and fast and hopefully these six teams will all get their names on the scoreboard on Saturday.

Alternatively, add an extra two selections to the slip and qualify for BetVictor’s acca insurance.

Bournemouth V Charlton Athletic

Both Bournemouth and Charlton will be relatively pleased with their current top half positions but managers Eddie Howe and Bob Peeters will be equally eager to put a good run together starting with Saturday’s showdown at Dean Court.

The scoring stats for this one are promising as Bournemouth have both scored and conceded six from their five home matches this season. Meanwhile, Charlton’s away record stands at six for and five against from five games.

Likewise, last season’s 2-1 Cherries win at Dean Court will give punters confidence about this selection as will Charlton’s record of three 1-1 draws in their last five outings. As for Bournemouth, it is also three BTTS winners in their last five Championship matches.

This probably doesn’t have the makings of a seven-goal thriller but both teams will be out to get the win and that should hopefully lead to an exciting end-to-end contest.

York City V Shrewsbury Town

League Two side Shrewsbury got back to winning ways with a comfortable 3-1 win against an out-of-form Cheltenham last week and the Shrews will be hopeful of continuing their revival with another three points against struggling York.

However, despite sitting bove the relegation zone on goal difference alone, Russell Wilcox’s side could push Micky Mellon’s men all the way at Bootham Crescent. Last year’s play-off losers were able to ge themselves on the scoresheet at Newport and will now be hoping to go one better by picking up points on home soil against a Shrewsbury squad that has lost five consecutive matches on the road.

It all makes for an intriguing contest and it could be particularly difficult to call the outcome, but what we can expect is plenty of action. Neither team has been particularly prolific in front of goal in recent weeks but Saturday’s showdown is a genuine opportunity for three points and bot hsides will want to grab that chance with both arms.

Whilst the offensive records may not look to promising for this selection, the defensive ones certainly do.The visitors are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road this term whilst the home side has shipped a total of 17 league goals already.

It should be an exciting contest and the circumstances could mean that both teams adopt an attacing approach. Lets hope for plenty of goalmouth action.

Halifax Town V Kidderminster Harriers

Our final selection comes from the Vanarama Conference and we’re once again backing Halifax to be involved in another feisty affair as they face Kidderminster at the Shay Stadium.

Neil Aspin’s side have played in some fantastically entertaining contests this season, scoring 28 times and conceding 18 after just 16 league outings. Last week’s 4-1 loss to Eastleigh made it three straight BTTS winners for the Shaymen and there is a good chance that sequence will continue here.

Kidderminster have scored 22 times themselves, shipping in 15 at the wrong end, and have also been involved in three straight matches in which both teams have scored. Meanwhile, last season’s corresponding 1-1 draw is another reason to believe that this selection could be a great shout.
