Live PDC Darts: Premier League Darts Week 10 Preview & Betting Tips

Thursday 6th April. 7PM. Sky Sports 1

Just eight darting superstars remain as the Premier League enters its second phase, and the race for next month’s play-off night is set to become fiercer than ever.

With just six weeks to go, every match is vital at this stage. It should be another great night in front of the Dublin crowd. Let’s play darts!

Wade Needing At Least Three Points From Four

At this stage of the competition, two players will be required to play twice. On week 10, James Wade and Raymond van Barneveld are the two stars aiming for four points. In truth, though, it’ the Machine who is in desperate need of the victories.

Barney thrashed Wade when the pair met last Thursday night in Cardiff, and the Englishman will need to be perform far better than he did in that 7-2 loss. Quite frankly, an 84.97 average simple isn’t good enough.

Even if Wade does manage to win the night’s final match, he’s unlikely to close the gap on those in the top four. That’s because he also opens the night in a clash against champion Michael van Gerwen. With only eight points to his name, back-to-back defeats against the Dutchmen would virtually end his hopes of progressing to the O2.

It’s already make or break for the world number five. Can the 2009 winner resurrect his hopes? We’ll have a far better idea come 11PM.

Barney & Taylor Renew Rivalry

As for Barneveld, his first game of the night sees him renew one of the greatest rivalries in darts history. And if the Dutchman can exact revenge for his week three loss to the six-time winner, it might just be lights out for The Power.

Phil Taylor is currently on 11 points, though, so a win would leave him in the hunt for a top four finish. One way or the other, it should be a thrilling battle at the oche.

Following last week’s relegation, Dave Chisnall is now bottom of the remaining eight. It doesn’t get any easier for Chizzy either as he takes on the in-from Peter Wright, who will be aiming for a big night after last week’s walkover against Kim Huybrechts. If Snakebite gets the points as expected, he’ll be in touching distance of a place in London.

The night’s other match sees Gary Anderson and Adrian Lewis face off for the second time in two weeks. It was the Flying Scotsman who eased his way to victory seven days ago. However, a win for Jackpot would certainly make things exciting in the battle for fourth.

It’s set to be a great start to the second phase. Let’s hope it’s as profitable as phase one was too.

Premier League Darts Week 10 Betting

Last week ended in a minor loss as our winning selection became a single thanks to Peter Wright’s walkover. Nonetheless, the doubles have served us well over the last nine weeks, and we’re hopeful that they will continue to do so here.

For our first double, we’re backing Wade to have a disastrous night ending in two defeats against the Dutchmen. While the Barney one might be a little tighter than it was last time, we think MVG will win by a distance.

MVG -2.5 legs & Barneveld to beat Wade @ 1.4/1 with Paddy Power

In the other repeat from week nine, Lewis should take Anderson a little further this time, even if he can’t win. Given that they only just failed to beat the 180s line last week, we think they will top it in Dublin

Meanwhile, we’re backing Snakebite to see off Chizzy in style. Chisnall can score with the best of them, but consistency on the doubles should see Wright win by at least three legs in this one.

Over 7.5 180s (Anderson v Lewis) & Wright -2.5 legs @ 2.34/1 with BetVictor
