Over 2.5 Match Goals Tips Saturday 30th January – Expect Plenty Of Drama At Villa Park

Every football fan loves a game of goals, and it feels even better when we’ve got money on it. We’re hoping to capitalise on those feelings on Saturday with this tempting 11/2 treble on the over 2.5 match goals market.

All we’re looking for is a minimum of three goals in each of our chosen matches. Whether that comes from 3-0 win or a BTTS winner doesn’t matter. Let’s just hope that we see plenty of action.

Aston Villa V Manchester City

FA Cup weekend never fails to deliver bags of excitement, and one of the most interesting fixtures comes from the all-Premier League tie at Villa Park.

Remi Garde’s Villans have seen improvements in recent weeks and will be quietly hopeful of causing an upset against Manuel Pellegrini’s giants. Not only have the hosts scored in each of their last four home games, but they know that Manchester City’s defence is an area that can be exploited – especially in the absence of Vincent Kompany.

Villa will also hope to capitalise on City’s tired legs after the visitors played Everton in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday. Nevertheless, there’s no reason to doubt the away side’s scoring credentials, particularly as they’ve hit eight in their past away games alone.

If they play to their potential, the visitors could score alone. If the hosts can chip in with a goal themselves, then we’ll have a very good chance of winning.

Bristol City V Birmingham City

Struggling Bristol City might be struggling for form as they try to battle against the threat of relegation from the Championship. However, beating Middlesbrough in their last home game will give John Pemberton’s men optimism ahead of this clash against Birmingham. Let’s hope that this encourages plenty of action at Ashton Gate.

Despite their poor results, the hosts do at least boast two sources of regular goals via the 15-goal partnership of Jonatahan Kodija and Aaron Wilbraham. Sadly, that firepower might not be enough to secure any points against the high-flying Blues.

After all, the visitors enter this clash having scored 21 times in 14 Championship away games. Moreover, the fact Gary Rowett’s men netted three in each of their last two fixtures provides further evidence as to why the travelling fans can expect their team to enjoy another productive afternoon.

Both teams need a win, albeit for very different reasons. If we get an early goal, this could be an absolute cracker.

Swindon Town V Barnsley

Goals have been a regular feature at the County Ground this season and that trend hasn’t shown any sign of slowing down under new boss Luke Williams. As Swindon prepare to take on Barnsley this weekend, we have to fancy another game of goals for the Robins.

Each of Swindon’s last 10 home games have ended with both teams on the target and a minimum of three goals. Meanwhile, the fact they have Nicholas Ajose and Jonathan Obika in attack would suggest that the Robins will score goals against a defence that has shipped 25 in just 13 games on the road.

Barnsley should be more than capable of scoring themselves, though. Lee Johnson’s Tykes have won five League One matches on the bounce. Moreover, four of those games ended with at least three goals being scored, which is yet more reason to envisage plenty of drama here.

The reverse fixture at Oakwell brought five goals. A similar outcome in Swindon would suit us just fine.
