Over 2.5 Match Goals Tips Saturday 27th February – Back Our Football League Treble

Everybody loves a game of games, and we’re hopeful that the Football League will provide us with plenty of action this weekend.

We’ve picked three games which we think will have at least three goals each. It doesn’t matter who scores them, as long as we get over 2.5 in each of those encounters.

At odds of almost 9/1, it has to be worth a punt!

Fulham V Middlesbrough

Aitor Karanka’s Boro finally got back to winning ways on Tuesday night thanks to a 3-1 win over Cardiff. Last year’s play-off finalists will be eager to follow this up by getting their title bid back on track with three points this weekend. However, they might be made to work for their win against the Cottagers.

The visitors are certainly capable of winning in London, but they need to be careful against a home side that has scored 27 times in just 16 games at Craven Cottage. With the goals of Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele on their side, Slavia Jokanovic’s men should be expected to score.

Nevertheless, the hosts are unlikely to win against their high-flying opponents. Fulham have shipped 24 home goals already, which is something the likes of Jordan Rhodes and David Nugent will be eager to punish.

Both teams will be expected to score, and we fancy at least one of them to grab a second. At odds of over Evens, this Championship clash has to be included.

Blackpool V Bradford City

After a tragic start to the campaign, Blackpool are now performing far better at Bloomfield Road and have a fantastic chance of staying up under Neil McDonald. Sadly, the Tangerines could be in for a difficult night against the play-off chasing Bantams.

Blackpool should be expected to score, though. After all, they have hit 19 goals in 17 home games. They also have the duo of Mark Cullen and Jack Redshaw to give them a goal against Bradford. If the hosts do score, we’d fully expect this to be an over 2.5 goals winner.

Phil Parkinson’s men have scored at least twice in four of their last five League One outings. With Billy Clarke and James Hanson in attack, there’s no reason that they can’t do that again here. If they do get the wins, Bradford could potentially climb back into the top six, and that huge incentive should lead to an attacking display.

The hosts edged a 1-0 win at Valley Parade. We think they’ll sneak a victory again on Saturday, although we do think the hosts will score too. Over 2.5 goals has to be a player.

AFC Wimbledon V Oxford

Goals have been a common feature at Kingston Road this season, with 16 league games bringing 24 goals for and 21 goals against the Dons. And quite frankly, we can’t see the drama dying down against high-flying Oxford.

Five of Wimbledon’s last seven matches have seen at least three goals scored. Six of those matches have ended in wins for Neil Ardley’s men, which has shot them back into the contention for automatic promotion. With the likes of Adebayo Akinfenwa, Lyle Taylor, and Adebayo Azeez in attack, there’s no reason to doubt their qualities in the attack third.

Meanwhile, Michael Appleton’s visitors have scored an impressive 32 goals on the road and have the likes Kemar Roofe, Danny Hylton and Liam Sercombe to help fire them to another huge victory here. Four of their last five matches have ended with over 2.5 goals too.

Both teams have a huge incentive to go for the win, and we hope that will lead to a game of goals.

Back at least three to be scored here.
