Mikey’s Baseball Tips Sat 7th July: St. Louis Can Send Marlins Packing

A poor start to my baseball tips last night with both my teams’ offence having a nightmare, in the Angels matchup there was some great pitching from CJ Wilson but the massive bats of Pujols and co couldn’t put much on the board.

Together with the Rockies bats finding some form and with the Nationals bats going into hiding it meant for a terrible start to my tipping here on TV bet, but as we all know with gambling and betting these things happen and we take it on the chin and move on to next!

So once again for tonight I have gone for two singles and a double hoping for some much added run support for the two pitchers I’m going for, now you may say I’m a sucker for punishment but once again I’m sticking with the Nationals to make amends for last night and level the series with the Rockies.

So first tip of the night is in the game between the Colorado Rockies and the Washington Nationals which starts at 21.05 bst and will see the Nationals ace pitcher Gio Gonzalez take to the mound, this man has been on fire this year with an 11-3 record with an era just over 3, he has also won his last two starts and will be going up against fellow left hander Jeff Francis who has been the Rockies lone bright spot this season, but I expect the Nationals to take advantage of their ace on the hill and to give him some run support.

Second tip of the night comes in the game between the St Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins which starts at 21.10 bst and will see the Cardinals ace pitcher of the season Kyle Lohse going up against the sometimes exuberant Carlos Zambrano, Lohse this season has gone 8-2 with a 2.80 era he has also only allowed 3 runs or more in just 2 of his 17 starts this season, against the Marlins he is 2-0 this season and on opening night he carried a no-hitter going into the seventh innings.

Zambrano started the season off great for the Marlins but has really struggled lately especially with walks being a major problem!
