Mikey’s Baseball Tip For Friday Night 20th July: Indians And Orioles Guarantee Runs

A great night for us last night with the Tigers doing the business and both our bets coming in at very tidy prices. Another bumper night’s action tonight but one game stands out to me for a nice gamble.

The game I’m going for is the game between the Cleveland Indians and the Baltimore Orioles which starts at 12.05am BST.

Two months ago this would have been an easy pick for me as Derek Lowe the starting pitcher for the Indians started the season brilliantly, but in his last ten games he has been badly off the boil taking his era from 2.05 to 4.43 and going 2-6 in the process. Luckily for him the batters have been putting up plenty of runs just keeping the Tribe above .500.

The O’s bring Miguel Gonzalez to the mound who is only making his third start of the season after being brought up from AAA. He has done very nicely; going 1-1 with a 2.59 era. It’s just a shame his team mates have been struggling lately and their starting rotation is shot to pieces.

In my opinion there could be a few runs tonight as Lowe seems to be going downhill and the O’s have plenty of power to take advantage, and also the Indians might be able to get on top of the rookie pitcher and put plenty on the board.

My bet for tonight’s game is over 9.5 runs which pays a handsome even money with Ladbrokes and can’t be ignored.
