Live Streaming: Juventus v Torino Preview & Betting

The highlight of the weekend’s European action comes from Italy as Juventus and Torino meet in a Turin derby that could all but seal the home side’s record-breaking sixth successive Serie A title.

Saturday night’s action from the Juventus Stadium gets underway at 7:45PM. It’s a match that should provide bags of entertainment, let’s just hope it can provide some weekend profit too.

Juve Closing In On History

This is set to be a huge few days for Max Allegri’s men as they will aim to seal their place in the Champions League final with a positive result against Monaco on Tuesday night. Before that, though, they could potentially have the league title wrapped up too. While they would need Roma to drop points on Sunday for mathematical confirmation, a win in the derby would be enough to get the party started. And they should be extremely confident.

The hosts have won 17 out of 17 home league games this term, scoring 44 and conceding just eight in the process. With the formidable defensive unit of Gianluigi Buffon, Leonardo Bonucci, and co. playing with immense confidence, chances could be few and far between for the visitors.

At the other end, Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala will be eager to fire the Old Lady to another three points in the derby. Even if Allegri decides to rotate with one eye on Tuesday, the hosts should have more than enough quality to see off their inferior rivals.

Then again, Torino do have reason for optimism too.

Can Torino Continue Good Form?

Joe Hart and co. are arguably in their greatest form of the entire season, and they make the short trip across town on the back of a six game unbeaten streak. While that run has put them on course for a top half finish, Sinisa Mihajilovic’s men will be under no illusions about the enormity of this task.

Torino have lost their last six visits to Juventus while they were also beaten in this season’s reverse clash via a 1-3 scoreline. While the goals of Andrea Belotti should provide a threat, it’s hard to see where else the visitors can look for inspiration against such a strong opponent.

Nonetheless, confidence can be higher than normal thanks to recent results, and they could take advantage of Juve’s split attentions. The Bull would love to delay the home side’s celebrations by ending their 100% home record. If they do, it’d be one of their highlights of the season.

Juventus V Torino Betting

Unsurprisingly, Juventus enter the derby as odds-on favourites at 1/2 with Coral while Torino are the 11/2 underdogs. Alternatively, the draw can be backed at 10/3.

Juventus might not be 100% at the races following their midweek trip to France, and their preparations for Tuesday’s return. In truth, though, they shouldn’t need to be.
The hosts will dominate possession, and could well only need one goal to win this one. We’re backing them to win to nil.

Meanwhile, we also think Juventus will dominate the corner market. Juventus have an average of 5.9 corners per game on home turf. While Torino do get over 5 on the road, the lack of possession and chances could see them record far fewer here.

With a chance of a refund, the -2 Asian handicap line looks very tempting in favour of the hosts.
