Sunday 3rd April. 2PM. Live Streaming available on Bet365

The Rome derby is one of the hottest fixtures in European football and always serves as a magical moment in the Italian football calendar. Sunday’s instalment of the epic rivalry is set to be another explosive affair at the Stadio Olimpico, especially as both teams are in desperate need of a win.

Not only can you watch the drama unfold live with Bet365’s live streaming console, but you can also bet on the action too. Here’s everything you need to know.

Hosts Looking To Arrest Slump

With hopes of European qualification virtually out of the window, Lazio boss Stefano Pioli is already fighting for his job and a loss in the derby could potentially seal his fate at the Stadio Olimpico. Quite frankly, both he and his players need a win against their arch rivals.

Unfortunately, most of the recent derby matches have gone the way of Roma. The hosts are winless in six Serie A derbies, and will be desperate to see the likes of Miroslav Klose and Alessandro Matri step up to provide a rare moment of happiness in what has been a difficult campaign for the Aquile.

English eyes will be eager to see Ravel Morrison play, but that looks unlikely as the midfielder has barely had a kick during his Italian stay. The fans had hoped he would replicate the headlines of Paul Gascoigne; instead, they’ve ended up with someone more likely to repeat those of Bianca.

Nevertheless, passions will be sky high and Lazio are certainly capable on their day. If they perfrom to their potential, they’ve every chance of success.

Roma Closing In On Champions League

The official visitors may have fallen away from the Scudetto title race, but Luciano Spalletti’s men still have plenty to play for as they look to qualify for the Champions League with a top three finish.

They enter the weekend with a five-point gap over the chasing pack, and another derby day victory would give them an even better chance of achieving that goal. The recent return of Kevin Strootman from injury will boost their hopes while Stephan El Shaarawy and Edin Dzeko will be eager to fire Roma to victory.

This could well be Francesco Totti’s final Rome derby day too, and the 39-year-old would love to sign off in style. Injuries have hampered the veteran’s season, but he may still have one final gift to for the Giallorossi faithful.

Whatever happens, it should make for some enthralling viewing. Let’s hope we can win some money too.

SS Lazio v AS Roma Betting

Home advantage counts for nothing here as both teams share this stadium and as such it should come as no surprise that Roma are the favourites. However odds of 6/5 at Bet365 underline the fact that this might not be easy. Both the draw and Lazio can be backed at 23/10.

Roma have won the last two head-to-head matches and are unbeaten in six league meetings. When combined with their respective seasons, it’s hard to see them not walking away with the points.

Spalletti’s men can’t rely on one goal being enough for victory, though. Thankfully, the likes of Totti, Dzeko and El Shaarawy can help them bag at least two.

It will be another intense battle between these two great sides, and that pressure could lead to mistakes. With this in mind, we’re backing a 12/1 outsider too.

There’s nothing worse than scoring an own goal in such a big fixture, but we wouldn’t bet against it happening here. We’re not going to pinpoint a particular player or team. However, if any player is left red-faced, then we’ll be celebrating.
