French Open Bets Saturday 2nd June – Wozniaki to Crush Tired Kanepi
We weren’t able to get our selections published here yesterday as we lost all internet access in our office, and were unable to get our picks to TVBet, so we won’t bore you with how we got on. With our connection problems sorted, we are aiming to bounce back in style tomorrow, and Caroline Wozniaki in our bet of the day to knock out Kaia Kanepi. Without further ado, here are tomorrow’s French Open picks.
Caroline Wozniacki v Kaia Kanepi (4/6 – Paddy Power)
Huge value for the former number 1 in this match up. Wozniacki got off to a slow start this year but has looked much better in her 2 matches here. She’s cut out her unforced errors and is playing much more aggressive tennis, which is bringing out the best in her.
Kanepi has played so much tennis lately, things may finally catch up with her here. She’s been playing regularly this season and been going deep in tournaments. This match up is one Kanepi will hate. Wozniacki will return balls all day long which is bound to frustrate Kanepi, and should result in plenty of unforced errors.
Expect the Dane to take this one.
Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova v Klara Zakopalova (4/5 – Paddy Power)
We like the value on the Russian in this encounter and see her taking this one against Zakopalova. Both had tough 3 set matches in their last games but we are leaning towards Pavlyuchenkova in this one.
Before the French Open the form of both players were totally different. Pav started the year poorly but has since picked up her form and is showing glimpses of her old self that caused the best players problems.
Zakopalova on the other hand had to play ITF events as she was playing such poor tennis, a top 50 player having to play ITF events just shows how poorly she was playing.
The rankings and head to head also favour Pavlyuchenkova in this one, and we see her advancing into the next round.
