Football Accumulator Betting Tips Saturday 12th September – Gills To Continue Great Home Run

The first international break of the season is over, and our attentions are cast back to a full Football League schedule as we look to land this Saturday accumulator.

We’re backing one team from each of the three divisions to clinch valuable home wins against struggling opposition. At odds of just over 4/1, it looks like a pretty solid treble to get our weekend up and running in style.

Good luck.

Charlton Athletic V Rotherham United

Struggling Rotherham have endured a difficult opening few weeks to 2015/16 and return from the international break sitting rock bottom of the Championship. That’s exactly where we expect them to stay after this weekend trip to the Valley.

The Millers have been particularly poor at the back, leaking 13 in those first five matches. Conversely, Charlton have conceded just once in their two home games thus far, picking up a maximum six points in front of their own fans.

Guy Luzon has assembled a fairly decent Addicks side, with the quality of Tony Watt and Alou Diarra looking particularly pleasing so far. If they continue their great start, they could yet emerge as outside play-off contenders.

Both head-to-head fixtures ended in 1-1 draws last term. On this occasion, though, we’re backing the home side to grab the points.

Gillingham V Blackpool

In League One, Justin Edinburgh’s Gillingham have won three games on the spin at Priestfield and are yet to concede a single home goal. The league leaders welcome struggling Blackpool this weekend, and it should be a routine win against the Tangerines.

The hosts have scored seven times over the course of those three games, netting 11 in total, and will be confident about scoring a few more here. If Luke Norris and Bradley Dack have their shooting boots on, it could be a long afternoon for the visitors.

Blackpool did pick up a first league win of the season against Scunthorpe last weekend, but that shouldn’t paper over the obvious cracks in Neil McDonald’s side. The visitors have conceded 12 in just six matches so far, and are plighted by troubles both on and off the field.

The travelling supporters will be hoping for another positive result, but it’s the hosts who are fully expected to prevail.

Portsmouth V Barnet

Newly promoted Barnet haven’t started 2015/16 in the best form, and their first season back in the Football League doesn’t get any easier as they make the trip to Fratton Park.

Martin Allen’s men have yet to pick up a single point on the road thus far, and the Bees could be stung once again as they take on one of the League Two title favourites. The visitors have leaked an alarming eight goals in those three away games, which could be a major problem here.

Portsmouth have drawn each of their past two home games, but they do enter this clash with their unbeaten league record intact. That’s unlikely to come under any real threat from the struggling visitors. Meanwhile, Matt Tubbs and Kyle Bennett should pose major problems for Barnet’s backline.

There’s no such thing as a guaranteed result at this level, but all the stats point towards a home win.
