Bundesliga Live: FC Ingolstadt v RB Leipzig Stream and Betting Preview

Live streaming available at Bet365

It’s December, and Bayern Munich aren’t top of the German Bundesliga. Even Borussia Dortmund are the team on course to cause an upset; in fact, it’s newly promoted RB Leipzig who are just seven points short of ending the calendar year on top of the pile.

The final game of 2016 will see them take on Bayern in a huge battle at the Allianz. Before that, though, they start this important part of the season by facing the team that currently sitting rock bottom.

With the action live on Bet365 from 2:30PM on Saturday afternoon, it should be a thrilling spectacle to say the least.

Ingolstadt Equally Desperate For Points

All football fans know about the Leipzig story, but the hosts are just as desperate for a positive outcome on Saturday. And that’s because they currently sit bottom of the Bundesliga on just six points. In a strange way, though, the lack of expectancy may work in Ingolstadt’s favour.

Maik Walpurgis’s men are still searching for a first home win of the season. However, strikers Dario Lezcano and Lukas Hinterseer will be quietly confident about giving the visitors some problems. Meanwhile, the fact four of those six points have come in the last three games is another source of optimism.

The hosts will be under no illusion and know that this will be an uphill battle. Nevertheless, a win could be the catalyst for dragging themselves away from the foot of the table and towards survival. There’s no question that they’ll have the desire; the real question is whether they’ll have the quality.

Leipzig To Stay Top?

Even with the ownership, nobody expected Leipzig to take the Bundesliga in such storming fashion. After 13 matches, however, it’s clear to see that they are serious about challenging Bayern for the title. Another three points on Saturday would only further boost their cause.

Leipzig have won their last eight matches, including wins at both Wolfsburg and Leverkusen. In total, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men boast five wins and 17 goals in just seven away games this term. Given that the other two ended in draws, they’ve no reason to think it can’t be another great afternoon at the Audi Sportpark.

The goals of Timo Werner and Emil Forsberg have had a huge impact in the opening months of the season, and they’ll be looking to continue that attacking dominance. If they do, it could be huge for the club’s momentum heading into the final two weeks of the season.

Whatever happens, it should be an entertaining encounter. Given that it could have huge implications on how both ends of the table look at the winter break, you wouldn’t want to miss out. Not least when there’s money to be won.

FC Ingolstadt v RB Leipzig Betting

Unsurprisingly, it’s Leipzig who enter Saturday’s showdown as the odds-on favourites. Even so, many punters will be tempted to back the visitors at 7/10 with Bet365. The hosts, meanwhile, can be backed at 15/4. Alternatively, the draw is priced 14/5.

Leipzig are in fantastic form, and should be expected to beat an inferior opponent. However, they might need more than one strike to secure the important win.

They have conceded a goal quite often this term, but the attacking players have almost always bailed them out. Whether Ingolstadt score or not, we’re backing the visitors to enjoy another extremely successful afternoon.

In truth, if Leipzig play to their full potential, it should be a relatively routine victory for the league leaders. Ingolstadt probably won’t have the quality or spirit to fight back from a losing position, so an early goal could be key for the visitors.

We think they can stamp their authority by taking a lead into the break. From there, holding onto the lead should be simple.
