FA Cup Live Streaming – How To Watch & Bet On Chelsea v Peterborough United

FA Cup third round serves up a number of fascinating ties, not least at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea will be looking to avoid a potential banana skin.

Chelsea Expected To Shine

With no European competition to worry about this season, Antonio Conte might not have to rotate his squad as much as the other big clubs, but this is still a great chance for the Italian to take a better look at some of his fringe players. Even so, the Blues will be expected to cruise into round four.

In fact, Chelsea are currently the favourites to lift the cup, and their league performances would suggest that they are a great shout for the trophy. Conte has already set club records during his short time, but he’ll ultimately be judged by the trophy cabinet. Given that they’re also on course to win the Premier League title, this could be another huge step towards securing a domestic double in his maiden season in England.

This Chelsea squad is packed with depth, so the likes of Michy Batshuayi will be hoping for valuable game time. Regardless of the XI selected, a home win should be on the cards as the hosts look to bounce back from their midweek loss at White Hart Lane.

However, the Blues have been victims of giant killings in the past, with Bradford famously scoring four at the Bridge in 2015. In truth, though, Conte’s men should only need to hit third gear to see off their League One opponents here. Either way, ti should be an interesting battle.

Posh Have Nothing To Lose

The FA Cup always produces a shock or two, and Grant McCann will be hoping that his side can be the giant killers of the third round by defeating the Premier League leaders. And with nothing to lose, they can afford to be positive.

Peterborough have ample reason to be optimistic too. Chelsea have been lauded for their own fine form prior to the Spurs game, but Posh have been on a great run too, losing just once in their last 13 matches. Meanwhile, they have a number of goal threats in Gwion Edwards, Marcus Maddison, and Tom Nichols. If the visitors can produce the ammunition, those players could cause problems for the Premier League side.

The League One club are known for scoring regularly, but they do concede a lot of goals too. They cannot afford to let their superior opponents open up a lead. However, if they can frustrate the Blues, then they’ll soon grow in confidence.

It’s set to be a memorable day for the visitors no matter what. Produce a shock result, though, and it could be one of their greatest ever.

Chelsea v Peterborough United Betting

Given that Chelsea are favourites to lift the trophy, it’s no surprise that they are as short as 1/6 to win this encounter at Unibet. Peterborough, meanwhile, are available at 14/1 to cause an upset. Alternatively, the draw can be backed at 6/1.

It’s difficult to see anything other than a Chelsea win, and Conte will be looking for an efficient performance following the disappointment of Wednesday night. If the Blues can have this wrapped up by half-time, it will be a job well done. That’s exactly what we think they’ll do.

A two goal lead would allow them to take their foot off the pedal in the second half. We’re backing them to be at least two goals to the good by half-time, although we’re leaving ourselves the chance of a refund too.

Peterborough have nothing to lose, and will be praying for the dream afternoon at the Bridge. In truth, though, it’s far more likely to become a nightmare.

Unfortunately, an own goal would make it even worse for the unlucky culprit. Given the amount of pressure that Posh are set to endure, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if someone does put into his own net. At 8/1, it’s well worth a punt.
