Goals Galore Tips Saturday 23rd Jan – Both Teams To Score Treble

There’s plenty to get our teeth stuck into this weekend on the both teams to score coupon. In fact we seem to be spoiled for choice this Saturday as so many games look like absolute bankers for this bet.

Saying that, let’s not walk before we can run. Here are our top fancies for BTTS this weekend.

Sheffield United v Swindon Town 3.00pm

This looks like it has plenty of goals in it. Seventh placed Sheffield United could possibly get themselves back into a play-off position with a win today. The Blades have scored at least 1 goal in front of home fans in every league game for over a year, so it’s highly unlikely that’s about to stop today against a Swindon side that have won just 2 of their last 10 away games.

The hosts have proved they have goals in them, but rather surprisingly they have the weakest home defence in the top half of the table – leaking 21 goals in 13 games.

The Blades won the reverse of this match 2-0 back in August last year, and their previous meeting before that was a 5-5 goalfest last May. This game has huge potential!

Wycombe Wanderers v Leyton Orient 3.00pm

Sometimes you have to follow the stats and that’s exactly what I’m doing in this game. Visitors Leyton Orient have scored and conceded in 10 consecutive league games – this gives great insight into the way they are playing at the moment.

Hosts Wycombe have lost just 1 of their last 6 games at home (W2 D3 L1) and have 3 points and a game in hand over Orient. They will be confident of getting something from this game, as will the visitors will be of scoring at least once.

On paper this game has BTTS written all over it. We’re on.

Stevenage v Barnet 3.00pm

A lower table League 2 clash here as 17th placed Stevenage (32pts) take on 19th placed Barnet (27pts). Similarly to the game selected above, the stats can’t be ignored here.

Stevenage have hit BTTS in their last 9 league games, and there’s been some high scoring ones too. Since November we’ve seen 4-3, 1-3, 2-2, 3-2 scorelines and that’s absolutely fantastic for a BTTS punter.

Barnet have also been in BTTS punters notebooks recently. 11 of their last 15 games has seen both teams find the net.

Another encouraging sign for this selection is the fact that these two have already played out a highscoring game earlier in the season – Barnet beating Stevenage 3-2 in the reverse fixture last September.
