Brazil V Paraguay Live Streaming – Selecao To Set Up Blockbuster Semi With Argies

Brazil V Paraguay

Saturday 27th June. 10:30PM. Streamed Live On Bet365

The fourth and final quarter-final from this year’s Copa America sees 2014 World Cup hosts Brazil face Paraguay in what could be a real banana skin match for Dunga’s prestigious side.

Selecao might be international football’s most famous outfit, but this isn’t the best Brazil team we’ve ever seen and they are really under pressure thanks to the absence of captain Neymar. This tournament has already served up some cracking action and Saturday’s showdown in Concepcion is set to be another.

And there’s great news if you fancy watching and betting on the action, because bookmaker Bet365 will be streaming all the action live to their customers. For free!

Copa America So Far

A thrilling group phase set us up nicely for the knockouts, which started on Thursday morning, and the first three quarter-finals certainly haven’t let us down.

The knockout action started with host nation Chile dethroning Uruguay with a hard fought 1-0 win in Santiago in a match that will arguably be best remembered for a strange Edinson Cavani sending off. That match was followed by Peru’s 2-1 triumph against Bolivia.

Favourites Argentina then sealed their place in the last four with a dramatic shootout victory over Colombia following a tentative stalemate, with Carlos Tevez making amends for his error in 2011 by netting the winning spot kick.

Which team will meet them in the semi?

Brazil V Paraguay Preview

Saturday’s final quarter-final is one of the most intriguing matches of the entire Copa America so far and is one that, despite an obvious favourite, could quite easily go either way.

Dunga’s men stuttered through the group phase, losing inspirational captain Neymar to a stupid red card along the way, but will fancy their chances now that they’re here. The loss to Colombia is their only blemish since the former World Cup-winner took charge for a second time and the Selcao have got every chance of at least reaching the semi-final.

However, Ramon Diaz’s men showed their resilience in their opening match against Argentina and have continue to impress throughout the tournament so far. They might not be the best side on paper, but their team spirit could go a long way in Chile.

The neutrals will obviously want Brazil to win as Argentina await the winners of this clash. However, Los Guaranies knocked them out of the tournament on penalties in 2011 and will be quietly optimistic. Anything could happen at this stage and you can watch the action unfold from the comfort of your laptop.

Brazil V Paraguay Betting Tips

Although this is hardly a sparkling Selecao side, Brazil are odds on favourites to progress and are priced 4/6 to do so with Bet365. However, some fans may fancy Paraguay to cause an upset at 5/1 and odds of 13/5 on the draw may be equally tempting to those that think the favourites will stutter.

In spite of Neymar’s suspension, it’s not hard to see why Brazil are favourites and we’d expect them to score at the very least. However, Paraguay have shown their ability during the group phase and they can take advantage of Selecao’s seemingly shaky defence.

Despite Dunga’s appreciation for defensive quality, the individuals within his backline do look vulnerable. Brazil are yet to keep a clean sheet yet in the competition so far and we can see that trend continuing even if they win.

That said, Brazil are the more likely team to score. And whilst all eyes will be on new Liverpool signing Roberto Firmino, we think it is teammate Philippe Coutinho who will send the Selecao supporters into raptures.

Coutinho scored an incredible first goal for his country just a few weeks ago and we think he’ll bag a a crucial strike in this quarter-final too.
