Both Teams To Score Tips Saturday 28th February – Back Goals Between Potters And Tigers

It’s the end of the month and we’re looking to end February in perfect style by netting an even bigger win than usual with this 17/2 treble on the BTTS market.

We’re backing these six teams from England’s top four divisions to all find the target at some stage during the afternoon and are hopeful of beating the bookies once more.

Alternatively, add an extra two selections to qualify for BetVictor’s acca insurance.

Stoke City V Hull City

Steve Bruce’s Hull City have finally got their act together in recent weeks as a return of seven points from the last available nine has dragged them up to 15th. The Tigers will hope to roar to another win against Stoke City, but should be prepared for an intense battle at the Britannia.

Whilst Hull are enjoying a mini purple patch, the Potters are also in decent form having lost just one of their past five Premier League fixtures. That run of results, combined with home advantage, should serve Mark Hughes’ men well during Saturday’s showdown but it is worth noting that each of their last four matches have ended in BTTS winners.

Goals have been a common feature for Stoke under Hughes. The former striking sensation has sacrificed defensive stability for increased attacking presence, which has been underlined by the team’s results. It would be a surprise if they don’t score against the Tigers, but the likes of Nikica Jelavic should give the visitors real optimism too.

Stoke will be favourites, but Hull could cause an upset. Whatever happens, though, we think goals will be the theme of the day. Back both teams to score.

Blackpool V Wigan Athletic

Championship rivals Blackpool and Wigan have suffered equally tough campaigns and are both certainties for relegation. However, the two teams will look to this game as a rare chance for three points and that should hopefully lead to an exciting contest at Bloomfield Road.

At a glance, some punters will be turned off by the fact both teams boast just 28 goals from their respective 33 matches. However, Blackpool drew 4-4 with Nottingham Forest in their last home game, and also managed to score in the 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough before that so the Tangerines can be confident of finding a way past the poorly travelled Latics.

Likewise, the visitors will fancy their chances against the division’s worst defence. Cash-strapped Blackpool have shipped a total of 65 goals this season and even Malky Mackay’s sorry Wigan should have no issues getting on the scoresheet.

Honestly, we wouldn’t want to go anywhere near predicting a match winner. However, we’re confident that both teams will be out for goals and think this price offers fantastic value.

Southend United V Carlisle United

Our final selection comes from League Two and we’re backing Keith Curle’s strugglers to take advantage of a vulnerable Southend defence at Roots Hall.

The visiting Cumbrians might be languishing just two places above the relegation zone, but they can take heart from their return of 16 away goals. Additionally, despite losing the game 3-2, they can use the momentum of two late goals against Wycombe to help their bid for vital points against the Shrimpers.

Phil Brown’s home side boast one of the best defensive home records in the division but the Shrimpers have kept just one clean sheet in their last four and will be low in confidence after shipping six during back-to-back defeats against Accrington and Stevenage. On a brighter note, though, the promotion-chasing hosts have scored 25 goals at Roots Hall and should be extremely confident against a Carlisle backline that has shipped 28 on the road.

Carlisle will be positive as they look to take advantage of Southend’s poor morale and we’re expecting them to score. However, Brown’s side boast the greater calibre of player and that should allow the hosts to grab at least a point. We’re predicting a 2-1 home win but will be sticking our money on both teams to score.
