Both Teams To Score Tips Sat 12th Jan – Everton Can’t Keep A Clean Sheet For Toffee

goals galoreIt’s safe to say that my both teams to score predictions are in a real purple patch at present, and long may it continue!

I’m hoping that the predicted nationwide freeze over isn’t going to affect too many games this weekend, but I’ve got a feeling that we could lose many games to the weather.

That said, I’ll make only the selections that I fancy, and if the weather claims them, then it’s just hard luck. Here, as always is my best BTTS treble, followed by 4 more selections for the more speculative punter.

Everton v Swansea 3.00pm

I know we’re going to come a cropper with Everton soon, but it’s impossible to ignore their consecutive run of 18 games in all competitions that has seen them both score and concede, making them far and away the best team in the country for BTTS.

It appears that regardless of the quality of the opposition, Everton have the ability to let goals in, and with the visit of Swansea to Goodison, there is certainly no shortage of quality or ability.

The Swans set about their business in fine style in midweek, taking the Chelsea Lions with a 2-0 win which sees them with one foot in the Capital One Cup final. Michael Laudrup’s team have scored 2 goals in each of their last 4 games, and should have no problems finding the net against a Toffee’s side that haven’t kept a clean sheet for nearly 4 months.

Middlesbrough v Watford 3.00pm

The Hornets visit the North East this weekend, and this clash looks to have all the ingredients for a perfect goals galore game.

Watford are the highest scoring team in the Championship on their travels, banging in 27 goals in their 12 away games to date. The 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup was their first blank in 10 games, and they should return to their scoring form here.

Middlesbrough have kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 5, despite being tough to beat at home, and Watford will be looking to avenge their 2-1 defeat at Vicarage Road earlier in the season. I predict a 2-2 here.

Dagenham v Rochdale 3.00pm

Rochdale have scored and conceded in EVERY away game they have played this season in all competitions. That is a truly amazing stat, and Rochdale obviously don’t consider playing for the draw when they’re on the road.

Dagenham are just 2 points and 3 places behind their opponents in the league, an mid division games often throw up BTTS results. The home side are in a lull at present with 4 losses from their last 5, but Rochdale are so loose at the back on their travels that you have to fancy both teams to score very strongly.
