Best Football Bets Saturday 14th July – RoPs Can Do Us A Turn At 13/10

Who’s missing the real football? I am for sure, but there are still plenty of bets around to keep the bank ticking over until the start of the season. Today I’ve had a look through the card, and there are some nice value bets to be had from all over the world. I’ve picked out a couple of my strongest selections, of which I will be placing two singles, but feel free to combine them in a double if you’re feeling a bit braver!

HIFK v RoPs 3.00pm Finnish Ykkonen

Sorry HIFK are likely to fall foul of a bit of a mauling here at the hands of league leaders RoPs. The hosts are one place off the bottom of the league and have scraped together just 9 points in their 14 league games played to date.

RoPs are around 4/9 for the victory, which I fully expect against their poor opponents, but for an extra bit of value I prefer the odds about RoPs winning to nil which is available at a huge 13/10 with Paddy Power.

HIFK have only scored 3 goals in their 6 home games so far, and high flying RoPs look solid at the back, with just 1 goal conceded on their travels so far this term. A +25 goal difference for the visitors shows that they are a potent attacking force, and they should have far too much for their opponents.

AC Oulu v Viikingit 3.00pm Finnish Ykkonen

Although Viikingit are 7 points ahead of opponents Oulu in the league with a game in hand, it’s the hosts that look the better value here.

Oulu have produced some fine results recently, and it’s their home form that has impressed me most. They’ve played 3 of the top 4 teams in the table at home recently, beating 4th placed PK45 2-1 most recently, 3rd placed SJK 3-1 three weeks ago, and held league leaders RoPs to a 0-0 draw.

In fact their last home loss was against today’s opponents, around 6 weeks ago, which is why I think bookies are happy enough to offer Oulu at around 4/6, although they are seeing plenty of money for them.

Howeveer one thing there hasn’t been a shortage of between these two teams is goals. Their 0-0 draw with RoPs aside, Oulu have scored 12 goals in their last 5 at home, and Viikingit havn’t been too shoddy either, scoring 4 goals twice in their last 4 on their travels.

Checking head to head results, there have been a huge amount of goals in recent meetings between these two teams, with all of the last 4 clashes containing at least 3 goals. The best price of 4/7 with Paddy Power about over 2.5 goals looks great value for two teams that have been finding the net with ease recently.
