ATP Rome Quarter Finals LIVE – Rafa Nadal And Roger Federer In Action

TennisWe’ve hit the latter stages of this years ATP Rome tournament and it certainly hasn’t failed to disappoint so far.

Friday sees the last 4 matches in the men’s tournament, with all games streamed live on Bet365, starting at 11.00am when Benoit Paire takes on Marcel Granollers.

French world #36 Paire is priced up at 4/9 with Bet365 to beat his Spanish opponent, but with Granollers knocking out Andy Murray in the last round confidence will be high. There could be a little bit of value in backing Granollers at 13/8 but stakes should be kept to a minimum in this close looking match up.

Novak Djokovic v Tomas Berdych 1.00pm

Neither player has dropped a set in their two games played so far in this competition but you have to fancy world #1 Djokovic to make short work of Czech opponent Tomas Berdych.

Djokovic has won 13 of his 14 meetings with Berdych, and won their only meeting on clay to date (4-6 6-3 6-4 Monte Carlo 2012).

Backing the Serbian superstar won’t make you rich though. He’s a 1/9 favourite to progress into the semi’s and set up a likely clash with Rafa Nadal.

David Ferrer v Rafa Nadal 3.00pm

Rafa Nadal has a great head to head record against David Ferrer, and while world rankings would suggest this could be a pretty tight match, we all know that a fir Rafa Nadal is very near to unbeatable on his favoured clay, and Ferrer will have to overcome winning just 1 of the last 32 sets played against his Spanish compatriot.

Again, backing Rafa won’t pay for your retirement, but it could be worth putting into a little accumulator to boost the returns.

Jerzy Janowicz v Roger Federer 8.00pm

Roger Federer isn’t getting any younger, but on his day he remains one of the best tennis players in the world. Polish world #24 will certainly push Federer all the way and if the Swiss legend isn’t on top form we may see an upset.

Janowicz has already overcome Jo Wilfred Tsonga and Richard Gasquet without dropping a set, so the 9/2 being offered about Bet365 for a landmark victory could well be worth having a few pounds on.
